The city’s glass history began in 1923 and continues today. Many Krosno families were connected with this branch of industry, and the activity of the ironworks went far beyond the sphere of manufacturing. Changes in the city landscape, development of technical, road and housing infrastructure, significant influence on raising the standard of living, cultural and social initiatives, and finally the fame that Krosno gained, associated all over the world with magnificent glass products – we owe it all to glass production.
Glass from Krosno has been decorating our tables for years, characterized by attention to detail and delighting us with its unique design.
The Krosno “lead-free crystal”, as the local glass was called, fascinated with its quality and design. No wonder that glass sets from the Krosno glassworks have found their way to the tables of, among others, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, Empress of Japan, King Juan Carlos of Spain, President Mikhail Gorbachev of the USSR or Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
