In creating each Krosno glass clown, our glass masters have been inspired for centuries by the colorful characters of the Commedia dell’arte and Venetian carnival. Sometimes with a musical instrument such as an accordion or guitar, or with balloons, or simply with a big naive smile, Krosno Glass clowns are a favorite of Krosno Glass collectors and Supcarpathian tourists alike. Krosno glass clown sculptures have been passed down for generations in the glassblower families and took decades to really master it. The production of these filigree yet expressive sculptures requires a great deal of talent and practice. The coastal artists make the sculptures by hand and with great attention to detail.
